Savannah Women Farmers Association is made up of small scale women farmers from communities within five Districts in the Northern Region of Ghana. These Districts are Nanton, Kumbungu, Tolon, Mion Districts and Savelugu Municipal. The association membership is currently 1526. This figure consists of 1480 female, 46 and 992 youth. Our members are into production of cereal and leguminous crops such as maize, rice, millets, sorghum, groundnuts, beans, pidgin pea, cow pea and soya beans. We are also into shea business and add value to some of our produce and package them for better prices. The association members engage in purely agribusiness, and at the same time engage in practices that preserves and improves our ecosystem which contributes positively to the climate.
